Biography of Virginie Ledoyen
Virginie Ledoyen was born on November 15, 1976 in Aubervilliers, France. Her birth name is Virginie Fernandez, but she changed her name to Ledoyen after the maiden name of her maternal grandmother, a stage actress in her own right. Virginie Ledoyen, the stunning beauty, was already a model appearing in print at the age of two.
Her debut film happens to be the "Exploits d'un jeune Don Juan, Les/Exploits of a Young Don Juan" in 1987. She had to wait seven or eight movies longer for her breakthrough movie to come her way. In 1995, the movie "La Fille seule" saw her sterling performance, which led to be nominated for a César Awards {The France's version of the Oscar Awards}. She again got the chance to prove herself as an actress in the "Beach" {2000} starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Tilda Swinton. Her performance in the movie, "Beach" was critically acclaimed. As of January 2007 she had donned various roles in thirty-one different movies; besides making television appearances in four of the mini television shows.
Virginie Ledoyen had a daughter named Lilas, born on 29 September 2001, which means 'lilac' in French.
